Find a Tender is the UK-wide service for above-threshold public procurement, introduced after the UK left the EU publication regime. It carries higher-value notices from across all four nations, which makes it the single most important portal for suppliers bidding on substantial contracts and frameworks.
Because the threshold filter is doing the work, notices here skew towards multi-year frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems and large service contracts. The processes are more formal, the selection questionnaire stage is more common, and the timescales are longer than the sub-threshold work on Contracts Finder.
It is also where the Procurement Act 2023 notice types land, including the newer transparency notices that give advance sight of what a buyer intends to procure. Those are worth watching: a pipeline or preliminary market engagement notice is the earliest signal you will get.
Broadly £139,688 for central government goods and services, £214,904 for other bodies, and £5,372,609 for works, including VAT. Contracts above these must be advertised on Find a Tender.
Yes. Above-threshold notices from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all appear on Find a Tender, though the devolved portals carry additional lower-value work.
