Local Engagement for Employability, Wellbeing and Poverty Reduction

Newcastle City Council · England

Open for bids Medical & Healthcare

Scope of the contract

The Council’s Anti-Poverty Fund invests in services to tackle the causes and effects of poverty within Newcastle. Poor health and not being in employment are key inter-related drivers of poverty. Work and Thrive Partnership co-ordinates work to support Newcastle residents into employment, working closely with health care services provided by the NHS and voluntary and community organisations.

This project aims to enable specialist services to be commissioned to provide local engagement to actively support out of work Newcastle residents to move towards employment as part of a holistic approach to improving their physical, mental and financial wellbeing. As well as delivering these benefits for people using services, providers will refer services users who are ready to actively seek work in to the Work and Thrive Partnership.
