Please find advance notice of an upcoming Alternative Provision & Specialist Tuition Provider Engagement Event and ask that you save the date for one of the following sessions:
Monday 14 September, 1:00pm to 3:00pm, or
Thursday 17 September, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
We are currently finalising arrangements and will confirm the date and send a formal invitation in a few weeks. Please complete the attached form to indicate your attendance. We are initially planning an in-person event at the Civic Centre, however we will consider an additional teams meeting if appropriate.
The current Alternative Provision & Specialist Tuition Framework is due to expire in March 2027. We are therefore beginning work on a new procurement exercise to ensure there is sufficient time for procurement, evaluation, mobilisation and implementation before the current framework comes to an end.
This engagement event will provide an opportunity to share our early thinking and, importantly, hear your views on how the future framework could be designed to best meet the needs of children and young people. Discussions are likely to cover areas such as:
The scope of future Alternative Provision and Specialist Tuition services.
The structure of the framework and opportunities to improve service delivery.
Quality assurance, safeguarding and provider oversight arrangements.
Expectations around reintegration planning and supporting positive outcomes.
Performance management and contract management requirements.
Provider capacity, capability and appetite for future opportunities.
Your experience and feedback will play an important role in helping us shape the future approach, and we would welcome your involvement in these discussions.
